Book Description:
The heart-stopping conclusion to the New York Times bestselling Shatter Me series, which Ransom Riggs, bestselling author of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, called "a thrilling, high-stakes saga of self-discovery and forbidden love"
Juliette now knows she may be the only one who can stop the Reestablishment. But to take them down, she'll need the help of the one person she never thought she could trust: Warner. And as they work together, Juliette will discover that everything she thought she knew-about Warner, her abilities, and even Adam-was wrong.
In Shatter Me, Tahereh Mafi created a captivating and original story that combined the best of dystopian and paranormal and was praised by Publishers Weekly as "a gripping read from an author who's not afraid to take risks." The sequel, Unravel Me, blew readers away with heart-racing twists and turns, and New York Times bestselling author Kami Garcia said it was "dangerous, sexy, romantic, and intense." Now this final book brings the series to a shocking and climactic end.
My Thoughts:
It was a good happy ending to the series. I was disappointed in certain aspects but overall it's what most readers were probably looking for...aaaaaaand more...
I was amazed at how the author took you from rooting for one team and then by book 3 has you totally being a traitor and switching teams to root from the other guy! Seriously! it was crazy!
The writing style was different in the aspect of we didn't read everything that went through Juliette's mind, I kinda missed that. I don't know why the author stopped or if she meant to stop. However the overall creativity that went into the beautiful way to describe something didn't change.
Juliette as a character stopped being annoying actually became something. Not a whimpering sulk who whined the whole book. So thank goodness for some character development.
Adam, who I was originally rooting for by the end of book 1 became completely annoying! A jerk, wow... I wanted to reach in there and slug him! GAH stupid boy.
Warner also was a little disappointing. I understand that now that we know the whole story and the real side of him he isn't "the bad guy" but MAN! what happened? He turned into a sap! What happened to "mister tough guy" instead I go "sappy joe" maybe it made some girls soon, but I was like, "really? seriously? oh, come on!" whatever.
And what is with the EXTREME steamy scenes???? whaaaaat? I was so shocked! I didn't expect that from THIS author. weird... and a little overboard and unnecessary in my opinion.
Happy ending, happy day.
