Book Review: Crave By: Melissa Darnell

Book Description:
Savannah Colbert has never known why she's so hated by the kids of the Clann. Nor can she deny her instinct to get close to Clann golden boy Tristan Coleman. Especially when she recovers from a strange illness and the attraction becomes nearly irresistible. It's as if he's a magnet, pulling her gaze, her thoughts, even her dreams. Her family has warned her to have nothing to do with him, or any members of the Clann. But when Tristan is suddenly everywhere she goes, Savannah fears she's destined to fail.
For years, Tristan has been forbidden to even speak to Savannah Colbert. Then Savannah disappears from school for a week and comes back… different, and suddenly he can't stay away. Boys seem intoxicated just from looking at her. His own family becomes stricter than ever. And Tristan has to fight his own urge to protect her, to be near her no matter the consequences….
My Thoughts:
Meh... It was okay. Nothing really wrong with it...I'm just sick of vampires especially when there is nothing really new to it.

There was no complex character building just kinda all the same. Outcast loves golden child. sort-of-thing and they go against everybody and fall in love keep it hidden then when it's found out all hell breaks loose.

The outcast is Savannah who doesn't know why she is outcasted most of her life till a week of sickness and she comes back...desirable and people want her and nobody can really understand it.

Tristan is the gold boy who is not to have anything to do with Savannah and even gave up their friendship at a young age but he has never forgotten about her and is very much aware of her all these many years. Till one day she gets sick and doesn't come back to school for a week and then he can't seem to stay away from her any longer.

I did enjoy the Witch vs. Vampire thing and without giving the big "confession" of the story and why Savannah has been an outcasted and why it all comes crashing down let me just say this, it was a simple, fun, easy read if you are looking for a no-brainer.

The love story I just kind-of rolled my eyes at and was like, yeah, yeah, yeah lets get back to the witches vs. vampire thing. I just wasn't that interested. It didn't CAPTURE me. My heart didn't ache or relate to these characters.

Done enough said. That's all there is too it.
