Scarlet by: Marissa Meyer

Book Description:
The fates of Cinder and Scarlet collide as a Lunar threat spreads across the Earth...

Cinder, the cyborg mechanic, returns in the second thrilling installment of the bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She's trying to break out of prison—even though if she succeeds, she'll be the Commonwealth's most wanted fugitive.

Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit's grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn't know about her grandmother or the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother's whereabouts, she is loath to trust this stranger, but is inexplicably drawn to him, and he to her. As Scarlet and Wolf unravel one mystery, they encounter another when they meet Cinder. Now, all of them must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen Levana, who will do anything for the handsome Prince Kai to become her husband, her king, her prisoner.

My Thoughts:
Loved, loved LOVED this book! I couldn't put it down! *sigh* Marissa Meyer, you are brilliant!

As we know Cinder is a retelling of Cinderella. This book is the retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. How cool is that?! and Meyer is such a brilliant author she was able to create her OWN story and then incorporate it with Cinder!

Scarlet-main character of this book, a girl who goes looking for her missing grandmother when she disappears for 3 weeks without a trace. Scarlet is a strong female character that you like but she can be a bit pushy...then again who wouldn't when it comes to trying to save your family member?!

Wolf-ooooooh I love him....so much mystery behind him, so much wolf and man in him! haha I loved him. A gentle beast shall we say? There was just so much mystery as to where Wolf came from, what his story was, what does he have to do with the whole Cinder thing?

The twists and turns of this book and during it all we get snippets of Emperor Kai and whats going on, on his end. Cinder and what she's doing to try and survive!

This book you meet new fun, strong, awesome characters and as I said before Marissa Meyer is brilliant in:
A) introducing new characters and incorporating them into the story
B) starting a new story line and then tying it into the rest of the story
C) the imagination of it all was so awesome!

I loved this book as you can tell, I have nothing but glowing things to say about it! ACTION PACKED, Romance, and all!

Violence: Heavy (human/animal attacks that are a little graphic)
Sexual Content: mild (kissing that's it)
Language: none that I noticed
Drugs/Alcohol: none
